chlorella
Chlorella is a microscopic, green, freshwater organism, or simply, an algae. It is reported that chlorella, when consumed, aids in ridding the body of heavy metals.
The way it is said to work (for removing heavy metals) is that the indigestible fibrous outer shell of chlorella will bind itself to, and remove, heavy metals from within the body.
Chlorella is also said to strengthen the immune system.
The characteristic deep emerald-green color of chlorella exists because it has an unusually high amount of chlorophyll.
In addition to chlorophyll it is suggested to have dietary fiber, nucleic acids, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, CGF (Chlorella Growth Factor) and other nutrients.
