Yeah, I know. It’s about time. I’ve been unusually silent here for the usual reasons. This was deadline week for a couple of stories and the column for Mid-Atlantic Brewing News, following hard on the Celebrator Beer News deadline the week before.

(Boston, MA) - Harpoon Brewery will debut Chocolate Stout later this winter according to a label approval that came in this week. An interesting play considering that this is a style that could appease both seasoned beer connoisseurs and the broader drinking public.

Dare I say this is part 1 and get myself into a long series of Beer and “Chocolate/Cheese” articles?  Nah, I’ll leave it at this, if you ever go into a cheese or chocolate shop and ask what should I pair it with the inevitable answer is usually wine.
