It's the 24th of the month, and as always, Taste and Create beckons. This month our palates travel to India, the country of spicy foods and crazy curry. As much as I would have loved to try some curry (and as much as Son begged for curry), unfortunately that wasn't happening.

this is not something that any of us didn't already know. it applies to any kind of grocery shopping, right? and with the lovely array of snacks available at target, it works there too. i've come home with all sorts of yummy treats from target once or several hundred times. shocking, i know.

The prize features four items everything you need for the exquisite mothers day breakfast in bed. Half are chocolate croissants filled with premium callebaut chocolate. Including online greeting cards for any birthday, holiday or event. A mother is the greatest and the precious gift we receive from the Almighty.

I don’t think I’m going to have any trouble talking my husband into making this for me for Mother’s Day! It’s from Gale Gand at the Food Network and she says she started making it when she worked in England at the Stapleford Park Hotel.

There are a couple things that I'll admit to being spoiled about because I live in Ballard, WA. One of them is Cafe Besalu. Besides France, there is not one other place I have come across that makes chocolate croissants or any puff pastry for that matter like pure love and a close second would be Bakery Nouveau of course - but they are in West Seattle!

Several 2-day old croissant, sliced into 3/8″ thick rounds Place onto dry cookie sheet and bake at 350 (watching closely) until golden brown. Now call them crostinis. Plate the crostinis and top with a very high quality (about 80% ) chocolate wafer. (We used a South American chocolate).
