Washington, July 8 (ANI): American actress Eva Mendes spoke out against a joke made on the problems of substance abuse, slamming it as tacky. Mendes, who had quietly admitted herself for treatment at the Cirque Lodge in Utah in January, revealed that she is still “sensitive on the subject” of substance abuse problems.

It seems like it’s an awesome trend lately to go to rehab. And Wednesday, Kirsten Dunst, came clean on her stint: “I didn’t go to Cirque Lodge for alcohol abuse or drug abuse,” she [says]. “I went there for depression.” With that story sounding a little fishy, Defamer, actually called Cirque Lodge about going there for depression.

Everyone’s favorite tipsy greaser Kirsten Dunst is reportedly claiming her month-long stay at rehab center-to-the-stars Cirque Lodge was just a quick fix for feeling down in the dumps. As the actress recently told E!

Kirsten Dunst says that her time at the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center back in February was not for drugs or alcohol, but rather for depression.  Dunst, who was recently spotted around New York City with a strange looking bruise, told E! Online: “I was struggling and I had the opportunity to go somewhere and take care of myself.  I was fortunate to have the resources to do it.

I'm not a fan of Kirsten Dunst or her acting (but Interview with the Vampire was pretty good) but I have to give her sympathy if she was depressed enough to check into a hospital. Her admission comes toward the end of Depression Overawareness and Overmedication Week and May's Mental Health Awareness Month.
