Blue Crystal is set entirely in a city called Vastii. I’ll touch on that next, before I get down to the basics: food, water, clothes, shelter, light. I should mention first that this is a large city, complicated, and I should probably take two weeks just to cover the different levels, not to mention some of the notable buildings.

Somewhere out there, there is a list of tabletop games that everyone should play. On this list, I suspect, is Carcassonne. Themed after the French-walled city of the same name, this German-designed tile-laying game consists of just under 100 tiles and tasks players with building castles, roads, and farms.

Didn’t check up that much on Cities XL recently as I was preoccupied with my studies amongst others, but checking in to see if there was any news again I saw two new screenshots posted on the main page. Talk about looking neat! I really love the look it has to it, so much more detailed than for example City Life in which the game might have been 3D, but all looked pretty darn flat to me.

Citing a waning ability to have fun with the game, item statistics that really don't help with anything, and a lack of variance in armor and items, Smith is calling it quits with Age of Conan.

City Life is an incredible city builder, set in real-time 3D. Players construct awe inspiring megalopolises thriving with life. The stunning 3D game engine, powers the incredibly realistic visuals, which are full of life and energy.

With several intriguing new features Cities XL is setting itself apart from previous city building games. The fact that it’s fully 3D isn’t something really new, but the quality of it as can be seen within the video has been greatly increased compared to previous games.

Some people don’t like contests. OK, I understand that, but I’ll never understand those that say “I never win” to justify that. I don’t like football, for example, but I don’t say it’s a bad, ugly, or boring sport.
