clean water
Drinking clean water is one of the best things you can do for your health and for your body. Eight cups a day is recommended by most doctors and physicians. However, not everyone in the world has access to clean, reliable water. The problem of acquiring clean water has been troubling developing countries and third-world countries for ages.
A recent article in National Geographic describes how unclean water, put in plastic bottles and left out in the sun for 48 hours, kills the germs that cause cholera, typhoid, and other diseases. This discovery is already helping Kenya's poor as they are able to purify what was before undrinkable water and make it drinkable. Eight glasses of clean water a day is not a possibility for people living in underdeveloped countries.
This new method of purifying water is cheap, easy, and anyone can do it. It is almost like a huge water filter for countries that don't have the means or funds for expensive tablets or filtering systems.
Only time will tell, but this could be just the water purification method that brings Kenya and other developing countries to a new standard of living as they drink water for health.
