co2
What is CO2? The long answer is a "No" with an "If." The short answer is "Yes" with a "However." But the real answer is: A CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) molecule is two oxygen atoms bonded to a single carbon atom. That is CO2.
Plants use carbon dioxide during photosynthesis to create sugars, which may be consumed in respiration or used as the raw material to produce other organic compounds needed for plant growth and development. On the reverse side, CO2 is produced during respiration by plants and animals.
CO2 is a gas, but in its solid state it is dry ice. There is no liquid state of CO2. CO2 emissions can be reduced by burning wood pellets instead of cordwood, using renewable energy, and replacing your low-efficiency light bulbs.
