The Bright will be there, male members be damned. A couple of months back, I told you about Mary Hestand from Merry & the Mood Swings organizing a series of concerts at the Dallas Women’s Museum. As you may recall, the museum told Hestand that all acts had to be female--no male band members, period.

I just received an email from Hiroshi Sawada, who as you will remember, won the $5000 grand prize in the Millrock Latte Art Championship at Coffee Fest Seattle this past weekend and donated all of that cash to Coffee Kids.

We’re just back from another fun-filled Coffee Fest Seattle and Millrock Latte Art Championship, presented by Barista Mag, Nuova Simonelli and Dillanos Coffee. What a weekend! We had such a blast hangin with friends from New York, California, Washington, California, and of course Japan!

Last weekend was action pack and it looks as if this weekend will be no different. Lets start off with one for my fellow geeks out there: Star Trek Trvia Night (Next Gen) When: Friday, August 1 2008, 8:00pm Where: Neptune Coffee, 8415 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle $$$: Free Join super guest host Adam Koehler on a trivia filled extravaganza of all things Star Trek (next gen).

Just thought I’d pass along a fun freebie. This Saturday (June 21st) Caribou Coffee is offering free 12oz Fruit & Tea drinks to celebrate the first day of summer (from 3-4pm only). I’d like to think they are celebrating my 11 year wedding anniversary.
