WP-Spam Free getting my recommendation
http://wptutorial.com/ blog/ updates/ wp-spam-free-getting-my-recommendationBeen playing with a few different spam plugins for various blogs to see which seem to work best. WP-Spam Free is getting a thumbs up here. I have been running it for the past 2 weeks and it has done a great job here. There is no captcha with it which I have found really limits the number of comments I get.

The problem I have been seeing for some time, (and Kris recently as well) is that normal people send on-topic opinions (or sometimes mangle the content with some general question) to make it seem as if they are part of the discussion.
