Mindmaps are diagrams used to represent ideas - they use pictures, colours, position on the page and text together. People with dyslexia and other reading or memory difficulties often find that structuring ideas using a mindmap is easier than using a regular word processor with linear text.

Social Networks and Urban Networks have definite similarities, at Nlab Roland Harwood from Britain's National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA) introduced the topic and I'd like to expand it a bit here.
