October: It's not Just for Halloween Anymore--Eat Together Month

    http://www.babble.com/ CS/ blogs/ strollerderby/ archive/ 2008/ 10/ 08/ october-…

Before I had kids, I didn't eat very well. I still don't eat as well as I could (who does?) but I eat miles better now than I did as a kid myself. As skeptical as I usually am of sociological studies that draw connections between somewhat unrelated things, I do find myself rather charmed by the

    http://www.slashfood.com/ 2008/ 10/ 08/ the-boxcar-children-cookbook-cookbook-of…

Jon and Kate plus…meatballs? September 21 My enduring love of reality TV is not something I’m particularly proud of, but I always find in between all the horrifying preening and only-in-America emotive TMI, there is something useful, OK maybe just interesting, to take away. When Your Green Kid Is Trapped Indoors

    http://www.5minutesforgoinggreen.com/ 201/ when-your-green-kid-is-trapped-indoor…

My children have spent literally every summer day this season outdoors. It has been my quick solution to quiet time in the house, a way to get the house cleaned and enjoy it for a few minutes, and also keep my children active enough to tire them out by the end of the day.

    Aprons

    http://threesneakybugs.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 09/ 10/ aprons/

Ever since I got my new apron Eleanor has been fighting me for it. Seriously. It was bad enough the other night that I had to improvise with a kitchen towel and a binder clip. Dissecting Onions

    http://threesneakybugs.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 09/ 03/ dissecting-onions/

With a little help from mom in the slicing department, Seth happily dissected an onion and created impromptu designs on the counter with the rings. He was very happy with his counter art work. A little lesson in how onions make your eyes sting and how to get rid of the smell on your hands by rubbing them on the stainless faucet was also part of the fun.
