The Art of Marinating the Meat

    http://www.pinoyrecipe.net/ the-art-of-marinating-the-meat/

Why we use marinades? Principally there are two reasons. One is to add flavor, and the other is to tenderize. Usually, we are trying to do both. It’s worth bearing in mind that marinating is a cooking process, even though heat is rarely applied. The importance of recognizing this is that, like any other cooking process, you can overdo it.

    Baking Thoughts for Summer Foods

    http://www.earnticle.com/ business-and-finance/ baking-thoughts-for-summer-foods…

The summer is a great time of year for baking. The natural response to the warmer weather would be to enjoy the outdoors rather than baking in your kitchen, but it is quite the opposite. http://www.treehugger.com/ files/ 2008/ 10/ the-hot-box-eco-cooking.php

Photo by Gbalogh And we are not referring you to the microwave... We are talking about an age old trick of cooking that has been used for years underneath the sands of the beach, or the dark soil of the Mid-Americas. Thickening soup with egg

    http://www.asianonlinerecipes.com/ rss/ item/ 1694

Adding egg to thicken a soup is a little tricky as it will curdle or scramble if overheated. Beat one or two egg yolks (or whole eggs) in a bowl and stir in a little of the hot soup. Then strain this into the pan and stir over a gentle heat until thickened; do not allow it to boil.

Tips for cooking Chinese-style fried rice

    http://www.pinoycook.net/ tips-for-cooking-chinese-style-fried-rice/

I was reading a health blog a few days ago that warned people against Chinese-style fried rice. The writer asserts that there is nothing healthy about it because it is a lot of carbs loaded with grease. In the following paragraph, however, she highly recommends stir fried dishes.

    http://cookingwithkimberly.com/ ?p=586

Firstly, I love to use wooden spoons and utensils to cook! Now, I watched a health spot on the news the other night that exposed the dangers of putting your wooden utensils in the dishwasher to wash. Although you would think that you are sanitizing them, you are actually opening up the pores of the wood where bacteria from your dishwasher likes to hide.

    How to Make Biscuits

    http://bethany.preciousinfants.com/ 2008/ 10/ 09/ how-to-make-biscuits.aspx?ref=…

Someone asked me to make a tutorial on making biscuits the other day. I only recently (within the last couple of years) was able to learn how to make biscuits from scratch, that actually rose and tasted light and fluffy. I made dozens of batches of rock hard, flat biscuits before I finally got it right.
