Mirriah & the Niger Famine Scam

    http://esthergarvi.com/ 2008/ 10/ 02/ mirriah-and-some-media-exaggerations-durin…

As most of you already know by now, Mirriah is one of my favourite places in Niger. A Rainy Day in Madison, Wisconsin

    http://exit78.com/ weblog/ a-rainy-day-in-madison-wisconsin/

September 13, 2008 was a rainy Saturday, but we decided to brave the weather and go to the farmer’s market that is held on the streets and sidewalks bordering the Wisconsin State Capitol grounds in downtown Madison. The crowds were not as large as normal and there was only one street musician, but it was still a fun and interesting way to spend part of a morning.

    http://dianealdred.com/ 2008/ 09/ 17/ home-again-home-again-jiggety-jig/

Well, I’m back and I seem to have brought back some sunshine - not as warm as California sunshine but very welcome nontheless. I managed to twist my knee playing tennis on the my last day so the 10 hour journey home in my cramped seat, followed by a 3 hour drive home to Dorset was really uncomfortable and painful.

The Devil Made Me Do It

    http://www.thisyounghouse.com/ 2008/ 09/ the-devil-made-me-do-it/

When my little sister Carrie was showing us the streets of Philadelphia recently, she couldn’t wait to hear our review of the corn pancakes and brioche french toast at her favorite brunch spot:  Devil’s Alley.  But as much as we enjoyed our meal, we couldn’t help but get distracted by how well designed the restaurant around us was.
