As you can tell from the paucity of posts recently, nothing much of note has happened in ‘the news’ for me to write about. Ok, I’ve had a bad case of flu but that really doesn’t excuse the lack of ’something to write about’ out there. And what there *is* isn’t worth commenting on because it’s either been done to death… or bores me to tears.

Cortina d´Ampezzo is part of Dolomiti which is a very large ski area with 1200 km (!!!) of runs in 12 connected ski resorts. We decided to go there since it is supposed to offer one of the best skiing in the world. Another reason was that we have made shorter visits to Italian ski resorts before (Courmayeur/Monte Blanc and Cervino/Matterhorn), and we always liked skiing there.
