6" by 6" original oil on gallery wrap canvas with 1 and a half inch sides painted. Why did the cow wear a bell around her neck? Because her horn didn't work....:-) Not sure who the author of this joke is but I am guilty of repeating it! Today's cow has horns and I am told that most start out with them but farmer's cut them off.

Zopilotes is spanish for Vulture and these guys are turkey vultures who live in the mountains of chihuahua. I was getting the train back from Chihuahua city (awesome train ride, goes through what is called the Barrancas del Cobre.

12 3/4" x 8 3/4", oils $195 This colorful cow is from the herd I painted yesterday. I love the colors in this piece. At first I was worried my colors were too bright, but they are just what the painting needed. I am sure my palette was influenced by my visit last week to the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory in Vermont.

8" x 10", oils click here to place your bid on eBay I thought to do a large version of this painting, so I tried it smaller first. Now that I'm done, I don't think this would work in a larger format. That, and I think I'd go mad trying to do all of the stripes on a large scale.

18" by 24" original oil on wrap around canvas with sides painted. Today was a busy one with a trip to Portsmouth to move my location from a studio to easel and display space. I really enjoy working at home the most but love being a part of the group and the monthly events.
