My blog posts here have gotten a little dry of my own projects, but that's because I've been so busy working on them, I haven't had time. We've been decorating for Fall and I had a couple of articles I wanted to get posted on Divine Caroline and on Poshmama.

Thank you ALL for your congratulations. Your kindness just blows me away....!I will celebrate just about anything by spending an afternoon piecing. Oh how I love a pile of fabrics, cup of coffee, and the peace to just wing it with my trusty Juki.My goal was to get the borders pieced and onto my center peace section.Because the overall quilt will only be 16" X 16", each border section was small.

I wanted to share this lovely mini doll quilt that I received from Knit One Quilt Too aka Kristen Shields. The theme was owls and I absolutely love this charming fellow winking at me! It blends wool, quilt fabrics and  a nubby silk in the center with tiny quilt stitches dancing all around it to give it movement and texture.

.....so what if(?) i weave strips of fabric , for the base...no seams....and embroider the seams in the spirit of crazy? so the seams only seem like seams. energy efficient patchwork. the hearts are thrown in because i love it. and what if i cut a border off a balinese batik and use it for a border.
