Good-Bye Summer (I did something funny with raft in lower picture)
http://seaspray-itsawonderfullife.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 08/ good-bye-summer-i-did-…The above pic is of the liner of our pool. I prefer aqua sides, but I LOVE the tropical fish and coral (especially, the aqua, pink and yellow fish) and the sandy bottom causes the water to look aqua. :) I love to swim. This post is actually about how wacky I can be about water and how happy I was to finally have our own pool.

The Last Days
http://lyndasworld.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 08/ 20/ the-last-days/The last two days at my contracting job with IBM were incredibly boring. I did phone training with the person who replaced me in Texas, and I don’t really think she grasped that she would only have those two days to get the information she needed. The last afternoon she called and one of the people I worked with called needing help.

The 38 US States
http://www.linkbanana.com/ 2008/ 08/ 16/ the-38-us-states/The 38 US States Hidden in a rather good mental_floss post called “3 Controversial Maps” is an interesting idea: If George Etzel Pearcy had his way, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s famous song would have been called “Sweet Home Talladego.” In 1973, the California State University geography professor suggested that the U.S.

MY BUMPER STICKER IDEAS
http://www.icantbelievemylife.com/ 2008/ 08/ my-bumper-sticker-ideas.htmlI don't like to put bumper stickers on cars because I would actually have to put it on the bumper. However, when we bought our mini-van I became a bumper sticker lover! (this is one we have on our van) Vans have a few spots on the back windows where bumper stickers fit quite nicely, which is nice because stickers can be taken off of glass quite easily.

Hookworm Jones: A Hero for Scientists
http://ifightrobots.com/ ?p=83Hookworm Jones: A Hero for Scientists July 30th, 2008 — science Indiana Jones took an otherwise boring, stodgy field and through the magic of exaggeration, hyperbole, and outright lies made it look exciting. Science may have a lot of fictional badasses, but none as believable and down-to-earth as Jones.
