cyber bullying
Cyber bullying and bullying are not much different from each other except that the former is done not in person but on the Internet. Both of them in one way or the other affect the mental condition of the sufferer. Bullying is very common among school age kids. The reason for that could be jealousy, improper upbringing, lack of culture, lack of integrity or behavioral issues. Sometimes bullying leads to heinous crimes like murder, or tragedies like suicide.
Cyber bullying is done on the Internet for the purpose of intentionally harassing or downgrading the target. A few months back there was news about School Bullying Criticized by Aussie Prime Minister.
Bullying on one hand occurs between more powerful and less powerful among peers whereas Cyber bullying not only happens among children but of all ages across the globe.
The Victorian Government is about to finalize laws about bullies getting jailed for up to 10 years in Victoria, Australia. Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine too is working to finalize local laws that address cyber bullying stricty. Parents and students in Philadelphia are being provided awareness to understand the severe results of cyber bullying. Laws are in process to declare certain gossip sites as a type of cyber bullying. Arkansas too is looking at cyber bullying as a crime.
