diabetes
Diabetes is a relatively common, and potentially serious, disease that effects over 20 million people in America alone. There are three main types of diabetes, which includes: type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. Each major type of diabetes can have damaging effects on a person's body. Basically, the disease works by not using or producing insulin properly, which leads to the body not converting sugar and other foods into the energy it needs to survive.
Doctors believe that diabetes is brought on by both genetics and a lack of exercise coupled with a poor diet. Obese individuals are at a far greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes, which is the most common type of diabetes. Blogs that focus on eating healthy, exercising and weight loss can be great resources when trying to prevent or control diabetes.
Exploring the blogosphere, you can find thousands of blogs that focus on diabetes prevention, living with diabetes, “feel-good” stories of conquering the disease, information about people fighting for a cure and much more. Diabetes can be controlled and even prevented if you're equipped with the right knowledge, and the blogosphere has got you covered.
