disaster kit
Wouldn’t it be a shame to be without basic necessary supplies when a major disaster strikes? That is exactly what having a disaster kit serves to prevent. Disaster preparedness seeks to teach the lesson that an ounce of preparation is better than a pound of remediation. Having a disaster kit is akin to taking out an insurance policy against chaos. Such a kit will aid in restoring order and providing sustenance until the status quo resumes.
Elements of a disaster kit are dependent upon the type and duration of the disaster one prepares for, but many disaster kits have a commonality of essentials such as water, dehydrated or freeze-dried food, first-aid equipment and the like. A 72 hour kit is a prime example of a disaster kit.
