Matt Wood on the distributed web of data

    http://mndoci.com/ blog/ 2008/ 05/ 14/ matt-wood-on-the-distributed-web-of-data/…

Matt Wood has a great great screencast of a talk around some very relevant problems (things that touch my interests as a blogger and in my day job as well). No surprise that I agree with him on the importance of distributed data and how we can start leveraging the web for a field that gets more and more data intensive by the day.

Ideas for a possible Ninjam front end

    http://tziteras.blogspot.com/ 2007/ 01/ ideas-for-possible-ninjam-front-end.html

In my nightly jams with Ninjam I've recently found out loads about how it can be improved. Firstly there's now a linux client (there's always been one but this one is gui based). It's called gninjam. Best of all is that in doing this, Tobias the author of this first derivative, separated display from core functionality creating libninjam and a front end which he wrote in Glade.

    How to License a Product

    http://startupprincess.com/ wordpress/ how-to-license-a-product/

Over the last seven days, I went to the pediatrician five times. Incredibly exhausting physically and emotionally, but the whole time I was burning a trail to the doctor’s office, I kept thinking to myself, “Thank God I have a licensing agreement with Summer Infant!” Otherwise, my company, 2 Virtues Inc, surely would have gone under by now.

    http://distributedneuron.net/ blog/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ three-dimensional-thinking/

A lot of the work I’ve been doing in lab lately is related to brain development. Your brain is an absolutely amazing mess of pathways, fibers and tracts. The interconnected nature of the brain is far more sophisticated than simple dendrite trees in a big cluster.

    Game Idea

    http://practicecactus.com/ ?p=7

So, I was thinking about what sort of game I think would be fun to try to make (while learning some more about game programming) and of course that lead me to ponder what sort of game would be fun to play. Being a fan of MMOGs I of course leap to the thought that I’d like to make a MMOG that doesn’t suck (easy task, no?).
