domain names
Domain names are unique strings of alphanumeric characters, that when entered into a web browser, generally display a web site or web page.
You must register a domain name in order to be the respective "owner" of it. However, registering a domain name does not automatically activate a web site. The domain must be registered with an ICANN-accredited registrar, such as GoDaddy, and assigned a numeric address, called an IP address, before visitors can access a web page using the associated domain names.
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) governs coordination of the links between IP addresses and domain name registration across the Internet.
Bloggers are discussing domain name topics such as Avoiding Trademark And Domain Name Scams and The IPelton Blog.
