    Town meeting time again.

This has been an interesting, busy and somewhat emotionally exhausting day, yet I feel good. Tonight our request for permission to use the court house square was in the hands of the town council. Milton Bullock was absent from the meeting. I'm hoping he was simply delayed by his trip out of town and that he is in good health.

    http://www.gotarboro.com/ blog/ 2008/ 5/ 10/ tarboros-second-2nd-saturday.html

It was a great day with lots of people downtown enjoying the sales, the games, the food and the friendly community spirit. It was the day before Mother's Day and we had enough strollers downtown to have a parade.

    http://www.gotarboro.com/ blog/ 2008/ 5/ 7/ tarboros-2nd-saturdays-and-tourism.h…

Ordinarily, if you visit downtown Tarboro on a Saturday afternoon, you won't find crowds on the sidewalks. If you are looking for something to do you can browse the shops that are open and if you look harder you might find a place to eat. This Saturday, is a 2nd Saturday, when visitors come to Tarboro they'll see lively activity downtown.
