Performing an email address search is a great new tool to use to find old friends and acquaintances. This used to not be as popular a tool with the friend locator services online, but it has become quite useful now that so many of us have email addresses.

Several online pay services now include an email search tool. Some of these services advertise free email searches, but actually receiving a free search is generally not the case. Clicking on one of these advertisements will probably route you to a pay to search site instead, and you won't be getting the free deal advertised. The saying there is no free lunch seems to apply here.

The good news is many of the search services are pretty cheap. Some sites charge as little as a buck for a one time telephone or email search. Paying the dollar may not be a bad idea if it can save you some time and trouble.
