The continent of Europe is the world’s second smallest by surface area, covering 3,930,000 square miles or 2% of the world’s surface.

Despite its small size, more than 730 million people make their home in Europe, making it the third most populous continent. Europe, particularly Ancient Greece is considered the birthplace of Western Culture. Travel to Europe continues to drive the economy as 12% of the GDP in Europe comes from the tourism and travel industries. Europe vacations are in fact extremely popular.  Six of the top ten destinations in the world for travel are in Europe including: France, Spain, Italy, UK, Germany and Austria, and Europe hotels boast some of the most unique and luxurious designs on the planet.

Blogs on Europe may focus on world events and news reports but many are travel logs or journals of travel high points. The Nileguide hosts a richly Europe travel guide with information on flights, accommodations, travel recommendations and reviews.
