American actress Eva Mendes was born March 5, 1974, in Miami, Florida. Her first foray into showbiz came as a featured performer in a number of popular music videos in the 1990's, including appearances in Will Smith's Miami and Aerosmith's Hole in My Soul.

Mendes received her first big-screen break when she was cast in the critically-acclaimed Training Day alongside Denzel Washington in 2001. Since then, Eva Mendes has appeared films like: Once Upon A Time In Mexico(2003), Hitch (2005), Ghost Rider (2007) and The Spirit (2008).

Equally famous for her exotic beauty as she is for being a talented actress, Eva Mendes appeared nude in a steamy Calvin Klein commercial that was banned for being too explicit for television audiences in 2008, she was also voted as the Most Desirable Woman of 2009 by the readers of AskMen.com.

In 2009, Eva will star in Bad Lieutenant opposite Nicolas Cage, and she’ll also play a drug smuggler bent on revenge in Queen of the South.
