Fabric, by definition, is any material made through weaving, knitting, crocheting, or bonding.

There are countless materials used to create fabric to make wide varieties of clothing, linens, and upholstery.

Softer examples of fabric could include angora, cashmere, flannel, pashmina and velour. The softer fabrics are normally used for clothing and linens.

Some coarse fabrics are tweed, dungaree, and burlap. There are many user-friendly sewing machines that have become available on the market which include multiple settings, allowing for ease of use when sewing fabrics with varying textures and thickness. Whether it's a soft, fine silk blouse or a course, thick tweed jacket, the sewing and embroidery machines certainly make the process much easier than attempting to do it by hand.
