faith

Tag details

Faith is a belief in something or someone. People can have faith in other people, in qualities such as ability, in God or religious teachings, in a system of laws or morality, in promises made, or in anything else. Faith does not require proof, but merely the declaration that something is true.

In the Blogosphere, faith most often refers to religious faith and particularly Christian faith. Many blogs are devoted to advocating specific forms of religious faith, while others remind their readers of the American heritage requiring that religion be kept separate from government.

Faith is also a female given name, such as popular county singer Faith Hill.
