family travel
Travel with kids requires a completely different planning process than traveling alone, or even as a couple. Planning a family vacation can be a daunting task; trying to fit in everyone’s interests, and finding age-appropriate activities for every family member… no parent wants to go in blind. The amount of gear you need to pack is enough to keep some parents home.
Searching family travel blogs and websites makes planning so much easier, by reading the travel tips and reviews written by parents who’ve been there. Parents can compare those reviews to their own family’s interests and tolerances to get a good idea of where to go and what to avoid. Many travel blogs will include reviews of the nearby restaurants. Parents will also find great tips on travel gear, saving money, and keeping kids occupied en route.
Most travel is educational for kids by experiencing a place first-hand and giving them knowledge they can draw on later. Kids who’ve traveled to museums or monuments, even for field trips, score better on tests on those subjects.Original Technorati articles tagged “family travel”
