Kitchen Lamp
http://frontporches-sweet-tea.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ kitchen-lamp.htmlKitchen Lamp, originally uploaded by sassygirl1967. I finally have come up with a lamp for my kitchen, that I am satisfied with. I have experimented with everything from Clabber Girl Baking Powder cans to salt box bases with new pictures applied, just wasn't pleased with the ending result.

Broody Hens
http://laughingorcaranch.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ broody-hens.htmlI'm not sure whether to be pleased or annoyed. I think two of my hens have gone 'broody'. It started first with one of my Speckled Sussex, which happen to be my favorite breed of chicken so far. Our Speckled Sussex hens are friendly, docile, quiet, affectionate, curious and calm.

Cinco’s a bellowing!
http://blog.cornishheritagefarms.com/ ?p=621I don’t know about your Mother’s Day but mine wasn’t that quiet! In the afternoon we took a walk down the field to look for asparagus as it that time of year but alas we picked about 5 stalks. It has been cold & dry here - in fact we are normally eating Sunday breakfast down by the river in April & this past Sunday was the first Sunday that it was warm enough but nobody thought about it.

You've got to be kidding me...
http://rfdtonyc.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ youve-got-to-be-kidding-me.htmlToday I tried to plant the small apple tree you see in the background. Its trunk has the diameter of my index finger and the root ball is not very large either. It needed a modest hole and I couldn't believe it when I started digging - check out the mountain of rocks that came out of that small hole !
