    http://frontporches-sweet-tea.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ kitchens-all-aglow.html

Kitchens all Aglow, originally uploaded by sassygirl1967. I was in more of crafty mood than a cattle sale mood last night, so I stayed home and hubby went by himself. I finished up this lamp for the kitchen. I love how it looks, its pretty during the day and its so homey looking lite up in the evening.

    http://journals.aol.com/ busycs4/ AlpacaLady/ entries/ 2008/ 05/ 14/ blogging-ag…

This is Lady Morningstar before shearing on April 22. I am back again, trying to get my blog going, once again. I am on cria watch right now. Our first time mom is due tomorrow. She still looks very tight, but I do see that "what the heck is going on ?" look in her eyes.

    Kitchen Lamp

    http://frontporches-sweet-tea.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ kitchen-lamp.html

Kitchen Lamp, originally uploaded by sassygirl1967. I finally have come up with a lamp for my kitchen, that I am satisfied with. I have experimented with everything from Clabber Girl Baking Powder cans to salt box bases with new pictures applied, just wasn't pleased with the ending result.

    Broody Hens

    http://laughingorcaranch.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ broody-hens.html

I'm not sure whether to be pleased or annoyed. I think two of my hens have gone 'broody'. It started first with one of my Speckled Sussex, which happen to be my favorite breed of chicken so far. Our Speckled Sussex hens are friendly, docile, quiet, affectionate, curious and calm.

    Let the preserving begin

    http://matronofhusbandry.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ let-the-preserving-begin/

One of my favorite things is to lie in bed at night and listen for the “Kerr-plink” of my canning jars sealing.  The rhubarb is starting to bolt, so it was fish or cut bait.  A quick inventory told me that I still had rhubarb in the freezer from last year and canned rhubarb sauce from last season

    Cinco’s a bellowing!

    http://blog.cornishheritagefarms.com/ ?p=621

I don’t know about your Mother’s Day but mine wasn’t that quiet! In the afternoon we took a walk down the field to look for asparagus as it that time of year but alas we picked about 5 stalks. It has been cold & dry here - in fact we are normally eating Sunday breakfast down by the river in April & this past Sunday was the first Sunday that it was warm enough but nobody thought about it.

You've got to be kidding me...

    http://rfdtonyc.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ youve-got-to-be-kidding-me.html

Today I tried to plant the small apple tree you see in the background. Its trunk has the diameter of my index finger and the root ball is not very large either. It needed a modest hole and I couldn't believe it when I started digging - check out the mountain of rocks that came out of that small hole !
