My Interview at GameCyte, Part 2 May 15th, 2008 The fine folks at GameCyte did cut a second part of my interview after all. This one touches on the more abstract concepts of balancing games. Topics include symmetric vs. asymmetric games, hardcore vs casual balance, and depth vs. fairness.

Shrub reaches new level of callousness over Iraq

“I gave up golf to support the troops.” How incredibly tin-eared is that? It’s no wonder that the Glenn Reynolds, the Mark Hindrakersrockets and other generals of the Fighting 101st Keyboards sit back in the laptops of luxury — they’re taking orders from the top.

The bang and blame spin is fast becoming a fixture in today’s society. When I think about some of the news today on television, radio, even the internet, I can’t help but cringe. It seems for every mishap and tragedy it’s only a matter of time before the finger pointing begins.

    http://notjustaworkingmom.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ dont-be-hero.html

    http://www.publiceyeonline.com/ archives/ 003077.html

The provincial New Democrats continue to have bad polling results in British Columbia. They have been as much as 18 percentage points behind the Liberals in some surveys. That's hardly a place any opposition would want to be. And it certainly wasn't where the New Democrats were during the seventies and eighties.
