    Summer heat and kids.

    http://www.mysinglemomlife.com/ blog/ archives/ 2008/ 07/ summer_heat_and.php

Mark had to mow our lawn yesterday afternoon, (Saturday) and it wasn't super hot out, but it was up there. During the summer months I make him go slowly, take a lot of breaks, and make sure he comes in every 10 minutes or so and gets a lot of water to drink to keep himself hydrated.

Today when my sister Jo brought Mark back home, she picked us all up in her new car, and we went to grab lunch at McDonald's and let the girls play in the indoor play-place. She traded in her Chrysler Town n' Country Minivan for a new Mazda5.

the 4th of July around the Lifestyle channel!

    http://www.solomother.com/ the-4th-of-july-around-the-lifestyle-channel/

While the writers of the b5media Lifestyles Channel may be scattered about globally, one thing we all have in common is a celebration of fireworks. Whether it’s the U.S. and our Fourth of July - or a very different kind of holiday in Perth - we all know the unique smell that penetrates the air and the sense of freedom the mere sound of them instill.

Being Good Steward Saves You Money On TRASH!

    http://heartyworks.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ being-good-steward-saves-you-money-on…

I just got our newest bill for trash service. It went up $2 a month. Understandable as the price of fuel is going up. I noticed that I am paying for two cans and two bags of trash to be picked up. At the time we signed up for the trash service, I was going through a LOT of trash.

    Perfect every time.

    http://www.mysinglemomlife.com/ blog/ archives/ 2008/ 07/ perfect_every_t.php

It is so far, a nice quiet day here. Mark will be going to my sister's house for the night, Sebastian will be staying with me, and I'll have to figure out what the heck to cook he and I for dinner. I have the most awesome recipe for sweet n' sour chicken poured over rice, but every time I make it, the boys refuse to eat the rice.

    Filed Fingers

    http://hotchickwriter.com/ ?p=54

Filed Fingers Filed Fingers is a blog about one woman’s attempt to start her own jewelry business. Actually, I wouldn’t call it an attempt anymore. This is an actual business. While most people just sell the jewelry, she actually makes it. She even shows you how she does it! At this point, the business is too small to require more than one person.

    WSJ Personal Finance Guidebook Giveaway

    http://www.christianpf.com/ wsj-personal-finance-guidebook-giveaway/

The Wall Street Journal’s Personal Finance Guidebook I got one of these a few years ago and it is a good quick reference to have. It is kind of like Cliffs notes for anything personal finance related. This is how the publisher describes it: Consider The Wall Street Journal Complete Personal Finance Guidebook your cheat sheet to the finances of your life.
