    whoisi theme

    http://linuxart.com/ log/ archives/ 2008/ 07/ 04/ whoisi-theme/

I posted about this on twitter already, but I hacked together a quick user theme for the excellent whoisi service. It works with either stylish or greasemonkey (there are two versions on the theme’s page, one for each excellent Firefox extension).

If you’re a fan of skinning your apps you probably already know all about user styles for web pages. There’s a great plugin for Firefox that enables you to change the look of webpages using css called Stylish. Once you have it, you can download (or create) user styles and change the look of any website with the push of a button.

    http://www.ghacks.net/ 2008/ 07/ 03/ mozilla-weave-synchronizes-firefox-data-onl…

Everyone who has to work on multiple computers knows that it can be extremely hard to have the same data available on all of the computers where it is needed. If you take Firefox as an example you might miss your bookmarks, settings and stored passwords on another computer and it would be pretty convenient to have access to them there as well.

    Split that Tabbed Browser

    http://www.technospot.net/ blogs/ split-that-tabbed-browser/

Remember those split windows when you had used Word or Excel where you used to get windows saying “Tile Horizontally” or even the one you get with Windows TaskBar. The main idea behind was to view 2 windows simultaneously. How about doing the same in Firefox Tabbed Windows.

Skype Extension for Firefox 3 Causing Problems with Google Maps

    http://www.techtraction.com/ 2008/ 07/ 02/ skype-extension-for-firefox-3-causing…

I was trying to get some directions the other day from Google Maps and discovered that the map wouldn’t load. I recently upgraded to Firefox 3, but thought for certain that I had successfully used Google Maps since the upgrade. I did a little digging around and found that I wasn’t the only person experiencing this problem.

Embracing FireFox 3 and its Themes and Extensions

    http://www.intellectualpoison.com/ 2008/ 06/ embracing-firefox-3-and-its-themes-…

I've had FireFox 3 installed for the last week or so (whichever day the new version was officially released and the record breaking attempt was started). One of the truly best things about the browser is that it is completely extensible, customizable and malleable.
