As this is my all-time favourite real-world aircraft, I’m delighted to announce that Just Flight has released a Flight Simulator X version of the Vulcan. RAF Vulcan has now been updated for FSX compatibility, and also to make it compatible with Windows Vista and (with some minor limitations outlined below) the Flight Simulator SP2 service pack and Acceleration expansion.

This is a terrific idea. Live ATC Chatter is an add-on from Cielosim for Flight Simulator X and Flight Simulator 2004 that streams live, real-time ATC from selected airports when you are in the vicinity. I can imagine this will add a tremendous feeling of realism to flights.

Image Altered has released a Beta version of FSX Check Flight Lite, a a random failure generating pre-application for Microsoft’s Flight Simulator X. There’s not much more information than that on the web site, so if you give it a go, let us all know what it’s like!
