Forestry is the science of developing and cultivating forests.

Tree plantations and natural resources densely populated with trees are also managed by forestry professionals.

The primary goal of the forestry industry is to ensure that forests are sustainable environments and ecosystems.

Although forestry is a science, there is an art to caring for natural resources because the interests of society and the needs of an ecosystem or plant environment can conflict.

Forestry professionals work to respect and reconcile both the needs of people and nature so that both can be served and preserved as much as possible.
