Fraxel is a specific cosmetic medical treatment that is designed to treat photo-aging (sun damage) complexion issues like age spots, and wrinkles. (Fraxel is a trademarked name but there are other technology providers that offer they same technology.)

Fraxel is a laser treatment that treats a 'fraction' of the skin by dividing the laser energy into tiny treatment points (think pincushion) and leaves the surrounding dermis untreated. This greatly decreases the side effects and recovery  of older laser treatments that effectively burned off the entire surface of the skin.

Physicians who offer Fraxel as a treatment, typically do so through laser clinics, medical spas, and cosmetic and plastic surgery clinics.

Medical spa, and skin clinic blogs typically offer information about Fraxel if they offer it, and use blog posts as a means to market to potential patients.
