fred perry

Fred Perry was born in May of 1909 and died in 1995. Early in life he was a champion in the world of table tennis but soon turned his attention to tennis. He was very successful in the tennis world, attaining world champion status for five years in his early to mid-twenties.

Fred Perry began producing the "sweat band" which became popular after he gave it away several to many top tennis players in the 1940's.

Fred Perry designed a logo for his clothing company to remind him of his Wimbledon days. To this day, all Fred Perry clothing and Fred Perry shoes are adorned with this logo.
