One of the most greatest things about the Internet is the amount of "freebies" that are available. From software to ebooks, even creative pursuits, if you spend any amount of time surfing the net you'll find thousands of free items for your downloading enjoyment.

There are many reasons why people give things away at no charge online, but the biggest is usually to attract visitors to their website. Giving away freebies is what's known as a form of viral marketing. Visitors don't care about you or your company, they want to know what's in it for them. By giving something away for free you'll attract numerous eyeballs and increase your site traffic all at the same time. Many internet marketers use freebies in the promotion and marketing of a website.

Once you start gathering up your little freebies don't be surprised if you become addicted to this pastime.
