Funambol is an open source push email and mobile sync for the mass market. Funambol v7’s new capabilities include open source software for BlackBerry push email and PIM sync, an iPhone plug-in for contacts sync, an enhanced Java ME push email client for hundreds of millions of feature phones, Yahoo!

When it comes to connecting people, the first thing you need to do is use the same language.  That doesn’t mean force everybody to use your language, because that’s what dictators do (and dictators are wiped out by history). To connect people you have to adapt to people’s language, eventually learning many of them.

Funambol lets you sync your contacts online with your Funambol account. Synchronize your contacts wirelessly wherever you are. You will need to signup with a Funambol account, but that’s the only thing you need before you can sync your contacts.

The good folks at Yahoo! have opened up subscriptions to Fire Eagle, a location based service. You can log in to Fire Eagle and update your location info so that all applications connected to Fire Eagle can use that information.
