The simplest toys are so often the best. One of my daughter’s favorite toys has, for a long time, been the Funny Faces by Vilac. The concept is simple: 8 wooden blocks with 4 different face parts of 4 different animals on them, and then the kids’ imagination can go crazy.

A couple of weekends ago, I was camped out on the couch in the den with a book and total quietness. It was heavenly. After a short while, the dogs must have noticed I was missing from the living room because it wasn’t long before they came looking for me. Both of them appeared in the doorway with smiling faces when they saw me.

Its NO LESSONS day today! The school is celebrating Children’s Day today in lieu of tomorrow. This is the first ever Telematch for Keatkeat. He was excited and so was I! Seeing him in action with his friends is something that I could only visualize behind those closed doors and windows of the school.

These are portraits of my mother and father. We have a really weird relationship so my butt was the perfect spot. I know it seems weird, but my mom almost cried, and my dad (the king of no emotion) sent me a text message simply saying “You rock!” Pretty much the best decision I ever made!

This is a bit of a silly entry, but I couldn’t resist posting these two faces of BME.. I’m not sure who the screamer on the left is (speak up or forever hold your peace) but on the right is Gord “Turn that frown upside down” Bouchard the owner of Golden Horseshoe Tattoo here in Ontario.
