gamers

The word gamers is used to refer to a group of people who play games. Although it used more often to refer to players of war games or role playing games, and today more often refers to players of video games, gamers can be players of any type of game.

"Gamers" aren't usually of the casual variety, they are more the group that spend most of their leisure time playing or learning about games.

Major video game consoles or platforms that gamers spend most of their time using include the Nintendo Wii, Microsoft XBox 360, Playstation, desktop or laptop computers and hand held devices.

You'll find bloggers talking about gaming and gamers at sites like Wii Fit Accessories and PC Gamer.
