A radio station in Connecticut offered gas for .99 per gallon, causing people to start lining up as early as 10:30 pm the evening before.  First in line were two high school students who brought their bar-b-que grill and made a social evening of it.  I don’t know how many cars they allowed to gas up at that price, but it sure was a Godsend for those who were able to get the gas at that price.

A well-dressed mystery man is driving around central Florida handing out cash to people at service stations.  Two people in Brandon, a male cabbie and a woman driver, reported receiving cash from a man wearing a shirt and tie (and, we assume, pants).
