gay rights
Gay rights covers many topics, including marriage, benefits, tolerance, and religion. The issues surrounding gay rights invokes strong viewpoints from people on all sides of the debate. Some of the concerns deal with the line between "hate speech," "hate crimes, " and "freedom of speech."
Politicians on many sides of the issue continue to debate whether or not these matters should be settled at the national level, or if they should be handled by the individual states who continue to run their own ballot measures, initiate legislation, and hash out these arguments in court. Citizens on all sides of the debate feel as though they are fighting for the survival of an ideal society and the future of a nation.
