    Where On Earth Was That Picture Taken?

    Researchers at Carnegie Mellon have devised an algorithm to determine where on earth a photo was taken, according to UPI. Using millions of GPS-tagged photos on Flickr, the algorithm compares the selected photo with others that have a similar distribution of textures and colors and the number and orientation of lines.
