ALDS Game 3 - Jumping On The (Barely A)live Blogging Bandwagon

http://www.cantstopthebleeding.com/ ?p=14429
(Stephen King and fellow members of Chowderhead Nation look on in disgust as your editor spends the entire game sending text messages) Angels 4, Red Sox 3 (last of the 5th) Yet again, I get to play the “drunk, retarded or really old” game with an overheard conversation during one of my all too infrequent visits to Fenway. ...

Has Rebtel made your life easier?

    http://blog.rebtel.com/ 2008/ 09/ 26/ has-rebtel-made-your-life-easier/

Here at Rebtel we get a lot of emails (with emphasize on a lot) from users around the world telling us what they think about what we do and most importantly; how we do it. To be perfectly honest with you (and I’m saying this with the most humble tone of voice possible), a great majority of these emails say that we are really great.

    Working the Workshops

    http://technosailor.com/ 2008/ 09/ 16/ working-the-workshops/

There are tons of informative sessions at Web 2.0 Expo. I especially like the Day 1 workshops. Maybe it’s the no-break, three-hour block . . . the fewer tracks . . . or the reduced traffic, since a good many folks opt out of Day 1 to save money. Shame. If you’re a coder, there are solid technical workshops.

Introducing Starting Something, a conference to get your start up, started

    http://blog.bootuplabs.com/ 2008/ 09/ 11/ introducing-starting-something-a-confe…

Today we’re announcing our first conference targeted at founders and “idea stage” startups. One of the missions we feel we need to complete is to “raise the entreprenial IQ” here in Vancouver. Down in Silicon Valley, your downstairs neighbour probably has a drawer full of term sheets, we simply need more exposure to some of these concepts.

Let’s kill all of the automated assistants

    http://www.sparkminute.com/ ?p=420

UGGH! I absolutely despise automated assistants. Nothing makes me hate a company more than to engage in a “conversation” with an automated assistant. When you post an “assistant” on your front page, you’re not fooling anyone.
