Get ex back seems to be a common mantra for many lonely, heart-broken men and women who find themselves very uncomfortable and insecure, being thrust back into the single life again, sometimes through no fault of their own.

There are a multitude of reasons a person may have for wanting to get his or her ex back. Among the reasons is love; the one left has sincere and genuine feelings of love for the former partner, feelings that unfortunately go unreciprocated.

Another reason for wanting an ex back may be co-dependency. This is a much less healthy reason that has at its roots a need to feel substantiated as well as a desire to lean on someone further than necessary, relying upon his or her actions to bring about a desired state of happiness that only we ourselves can produce.

Whatever the reason for wanting to get an ex back, it should be understood that choice plays a part in the bonding of two individuals, and gentle persuasion nearly always wins out over contemptuous brooding.
