My mind is my greatest priority, because it is the center of my creativity. By taking the time to clear it, I am opening myself up to new and better ideas. Ideas rarely come to me full-blown and complete. I nurture them to maturity.

Getting rid of clutter is a topic that will be discussed frequently on this blog because my house is cluttered with tons of stuff I don’t need or use but just can’t seem to get rid of. With all the stories lately, though, about people selling their belongings for gas money, I think I’ve finally found the incentive I needed to start paring down.

Clutter is quite a "no-no" in personal development circles. What is clutter? According to Wikipedia: Clutter may refer to excessive physical disorder: a confusing or disorderly state or collection; or the creation thereof. Excessive, unnecessary or uncontrolled clutter can be a symptom of compulsive hoarding.

When you think of clearing clutter does a closet, drawer or room come to mind? How about getting rid of the clutter in your medicine cabinet? This could be as important as getting rid of clutter in other parts of the home; it could actually be a health issue.

I posted on Love Shak, Baby earlier this week about doing a massive bunch of laundry. I posted that Monday, and here it is Friday and I am still doing laundry. I wrote in that post that I thought we had too much clothing. I didn't know the half of it. Since Monday I have gotten rid of 6 kitchen sized trash bags full of clothing.
