glamour

The term glamour has roots which come from sorcery and casting spells. Today, however, we might consider someone with "glamour" to have good taste and style.

As long as a person creates the illusion that he or she leads an attractive lifestyle, they might be considered to be glamorous.

Some might even compare being glamorous to being "chic." Equipped with designer handbags, top quality coats, boots and other clothing, a strong sense of style and confidence, a person may be looked upon as being "chic" or "glamorous."

The designer handbags themselves might be considered glamorous on their own — or other products that are perceived as being expensive or highly attractive, like large shiny wedding engagement rings or other jewelry ("bling").


Glamour may also refer to the popular Women's magazine or the character in the Marvel Universe.

You'll find bloggers talking about glamour at sites like Red Carpet Fashion Awards and Hello Beautiful.
