   I got up in the morning and the first thing I did (which I usually do) is log into my gmail account. I saw something cool. While loading Gmail, it gives an option of logging into HTML version for slow connections on the fly.

   I don’t know about you people, But I get really excited when a website upgrades even the smallest part of their user interface. The reason I bring this up is because Google Mail changed their loading page from a simple bold back, top left hand corner “Loading…” text, to a nice loading bar.

With this feature, Gmail gives you an option to switch from standard view to the basic HTML view if you are browsing with a slow Internet connection.     Google today rolled out a small improvement in the Gmail loading screen - it now gives you an option to switch from standard view to the basic HTML view if you are browsing with a slow Internet connection. You can further improve the Gmail loading speed by appending the nocheckbrowser parameter to the URL as it will force Gmail to skip the default browser check.
