Psalm 56: 4,10 In God, whose word I praise, In God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me? In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise - in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? In this Psalm we find a wonderful spiritual principle which when applied on a regular basis can rid us of the fear of other human beings.

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

Now look at what the NEW Testament says: We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit.

Guess what? WE DON’T HAVE TO KNOW EVERYTHING!! This hit home to me as I listened to some messages by Joyce Meyer. (The series she was doing was about freedom.) She was saying that if we come to Him like little children, we don’t have to question. We just TRUST, knowing that our God, the ALL-KNOWING ONE, knows what He is doing.

Now, it’s time to go back to where I was! A few weeks ago I started in Proverbs, planning to do a series. Then I came to verse 7, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.” Here’s what I said about it: “Part of fearing and reverencing God is knowing and acknowledging that God, as our

Proverbs 1:32-33 “For the simple are killed by their turning away, and the complacency of fools destroys them; 33 but whoever listens to [wisdom] will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.” I want to “dwell secure” and “be at ease, without dread of disaster,” how do I do that?

(I know this one is a tricky one. I’m sure it will raise a lot of questions regarding man’s free will and God’s sovereign plan. I’m ready for a debate on this one, and I encourage your comments. But here, I’m just recalling what I’ve found in the Bible, so far.
